Brandon Simmons

Brandon Lamar Simmons is a singer-songwriter based around Summerville and Charleston, South Carolina, who mostly works solo with an acoustic guitar. He grew up in Charleston, and his material sits across country, classic rock, beach music, pop, alternative and 1990s songs. Music is his full-time job. He plays restaurants, breweries, waterfront rooms, weddings and private events throughout the Lowcountry, shaping the set list to whatever the room calls for. Clients can book him alone or with a backing group billed as Brandon and the Boys. Trumpet in jazz bands came first, then drums, and he only took up guitar at 18. Formal training in music production and recording engineering came from the Atlanta Institute of Music. He drums for the Charleston band Token Mary while keeping his own solo catalogue and production work going.
