Medium Rare

Medium Rare is a Charleston, South Carolina trio: Dudley Birch on drums and vocals, Wayne "Nekbone" Mitchum on bass and vocals, and Bill Nance on keyboards and vocals. All three sing, and the band describes itself as three well-seasoned players — tight and polished. The repertoire is deliberately wide: pop, classic rock, R&B, funk, soul, reggae, jazz, beach and southern rock, pitched at dining rooms and private events rather than loud club stages. Medium Rare is a fixture at Halls Chophouse Nexton in Summerville, where the Charleston live-music calendar counted eight dates in August 2026, and the trio has also played High Cotton downtown. Booking goes straight to Mitchum or Birch through the band's own site.
