Reverse Cowgirl

Reverse Cowgirl is a Charleston, South Carolina country band led by AC Scar, the stage name of singer, songwriter and lead guitarist Andrew Scardino. The rhythm section — Drew Lewis and Tommy Merritt — comes out of local rockers The Simplicity. The live show is a party set: country hits from the 1990s to now plus southern rock, with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alan Jackson, Zach Bryan, Tyler Childers and Chris Stapleton among the 187 songs on the band's booking profile. It works Charleston rooms including Frontier Lounge and the Windjammer, and takes private and college bookings. Scardino also records as AC Scar, drawing on Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson. The project's debut single, "Bayou," was cut in 2024 at Charleston studio The Space with Ben Somerville.
